PRESS RELEASE

TriBuddy – Launch of Triathlon-Training App

New training app leads the way for triathletes of any level – your training coach, training plans and training buddy all in one place. Launching on 1 March 2023, the TriBuddy training app is aimed at triathletes of all levels – whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned athlete – TriBuddy is designed to support you every step of the way throughout your triathlon journey. Available for £16.99/month from the Apple App Store and Google Play App Store, TriBuddy gives you a periodised, adaptable training plan tailored to your requirements, from super sprint to Iron distance (or simply training with no race in mind). Whether you want to train to a race date or just keep ticking over in all disciplines, TriBuddy’s user-friendly navigation enables you to choose either option effortlessly. Throughout your training TriBuddy’s Head Coach will offer tips on how to improve, and you can also share your workouts and achievements with your friends and the TriBuddy community.

Your monthly subscription gives you access to over 500 workouts for all distances across swim, bike, run and strength disciplines. You can easily track the hours you complete for each discipline, whilst being able to move your workouts around your schedule and menstrual cycle. The data auto-syncs with your Garmin watch to save all your stats, and gives you the option to save your favourite workouts in your profile and train on your own time during the off season. TriBuddy also has integrated CSS tests and FTP to track your improvement. But best of all? You can log into your TriBuddy app and be training in less than 5 minutes.

TriBuddy is the brainchild of Anthony Vince, who took up triathlon over ten years ago and has gone on to compete in multiple triathlons including 11 Ironman races as an age grouper and qualify for the 70.3 world championships in 2017. Having a background in coding and technology, in 2022 Anthony teamed up with his long term coach David Jones to pool their expertise and create a coach, training plans and a buddy all in one place. The result? TriBuddy was born. As an athlete himself, Anthony knew exactly what he wanted to achieve when developing the TriBuddy app: “My own Triathlon journey has taken me so far and, like many fellow athletes, I’m always looking to get the most out of myself, the commitment and discipline required to reach your goals is substantial, which is why I developed TriBuddy. I was keen to systematise and simplify the training process across the sports, reduce jargon and only include features that genuinely increase the chances of the athlete reaching their goals. TriBuddy is built for athletes by athletes, and is designed to be an accessible training tool regardless of your level, passing down hard-earned discoveries from decades in the field.”

Together, Anthony and David bring their expertise to a global triathlete audience who can benefit from TriBuddy’s tailored workouts and training plans. Having coached triathletes one to one since 2001, and being well-known for his ‘wall of champions’, David says: “I am really looking forward to being able to help a global audience through the reach of TriBuddy. Having the opportunity to share my knowledge of Triathlon and endurance training that I gained when I started racing in the 1990s with a group of likeminded individuals that make up the TriBuddy community is an exciting prospect for me.

The app will be launched on 1 March 2023, and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For further press enquiries, interviews and press images please email contact@tribuddy.io
